Tom has over 25 years of real estate transactional and development, financing and lending, and corporate structuring, management and compliance experience as an attorney and consultant. These services have been rendered as an attorney in large multi-state and boutique law firms and as an in-house or special counsel to a variety of entities, including Fortune 500 companies, real estate service providers, high net worth individuals and startup founders.

He attended the University of Michigan on a full athletic swimming scholarship and achieved All-American status. After graduating he obtained a MA from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy before receiving his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. After graduation from law school, Tom was associated with a large multi-state law firm and partner in real estate boutique firms before acting as a corporate officer and senior counsel for the predecessor to CB Richard Ellis for the Eastern Division offices with emphasis on Middle Atlantic and Southeastern Regions and primary real estate counsel for Planet Hollywood International, IKON Office Solutions, Inc. and Borders, Inc.

Most recently, he has been General Counsel for or advisor to mid-size entities and startups, founders, and high net worth entrepreneurs in investments, ventures and projects, including acquisition of companies and mergers, with emphasis on structures to achieve defined objectives with favorable tax consequences and minimization of risk factors.
