Mike’s career has closely mirrored that of his father, Jeff Pocklington. After five years together handling industrial and general office leasing through boutique brokerage firms, they collaborated at Marcus & Millichap’s National Retail Group where Michael specialized in single tenant and retail investment sales.
In 2003, he co-founded the Pocklington, Pocklington & Forster Retail Investment Group (PP&F), which moved to GVA Advantis in 2004 and to Cushman & Wakefield in 2007. Michael specializes in the acquisition and disposition of unanchored retail strip shopping centers from 8,000 to 120,000 square feet. He brings exceptional underwriting, negotiating, escrow management skills and high levels of financial and analytical expertise to the group’s efforts to identify and acquire advantageous property investments.
Michael attended Emory University in Atlanta where he majored in History. He is a member of the ICSC and in 2005 was named by CoStar Group as one of Orlando’s Power Brokers. He is married and has two children. His hobby is reading and woodworking.
